Opa! @norahselene Good morning to u & I hope you enjoy that brew. I’m heading to Greektown today for some shopping, need some essentials.
IMO now is the best time to visit Greece. The tourism has abated and the seas are at their warmest @fablivingcoach Have a great time!
I especially like the south coast of Crete; lovely little town called Plakias has a lovely strand of beach, and Matala another one! @lo2lu2a
In the autumn, the fields of Kozani are covered with lilac-coloured saffron flowers. Greece is the largest producer of saffron in Europe.
Saffron production in Greece is exclusive to the 35 villages that comprise the Prefecture of Kozani, in Western Macedonia.
Saffron cultivation was introduced to Greece in the early 17th Century by Kozanite merchants returning from central Europe.
Saffron was well-known to the ancients Greeks. Dioscorides, Strabo, & Theophrastus attest to its medicinal & aphrodisiac qualities.
Wonderful! Use it in Good Health! Greek saffron is of exceptional quality. @alayawine
